Environment.

Algae not only produces oils which can be used for products in the biofuels and health arenas, but algae¹s growth process itself can be used for the betterment of our world through environmental remediation.

Heavy industries such as mining, chemical production, and manufacturing often have by-products which if not contained or treated, can be hazardous to the natural environment. By co-locating a bioreactor with an industrial operation, algae can be put to work in cleaning up toxic or contaminated water sources, effectively removing toxins such as high concentrations of selenium or excess nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus
